INGREDIENTS:
1 kg Par-cooked Ziti
1 onion
2 tbsp minced garlic
1 pound Italian Sausage
1 liter Spaghetti Sauce
1 cup Ricotta Cheese
1 cup Mozzarella cheese
¼ cup Parmesan Cheese
¼ cup chopped Basil and parsley
How To Prepare:
1) Saute the garlic, onion and skinned and chopped Italian sausage and drain fat. Return the meat, garlic and onion back to the pan and add the spaghetti sauce simmering for 15 minutes. Add the fresh herbs in the last 2 minutes of cooking.
2) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Layer ingredients in a baking dish. Pour 1 cup of the sauce mixture on the bottom half of the pasta,. Then add half of the remaining sauce mixture to the remaining pasta, with ricotta and mozzarella cheese. Finally pour the remaining sauce over dish, and top with parmesan cheese. Bake for 30 minutes. Great to serve with bread and salad.
