Ingredients:
FILLING
2 pieces apples, diced to 1/4 inch squares
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup apple sauce
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon corn starch
1 teaspoon vanila extract
2 squares frozen puff pastry, divided into 4 per square
egg wash
How to Prepare Apple Turnover
1. Preheat oven to 400 F.
2. In a bowl, mix together ingredients for the filling.
3. thaw the sheet of puff pastry. Divide each sheet into 4 equal parts.
4. Spoon apple filling into the center of each square, leaving a 1 inch border.
5. Fold each pastry into a triangle. Then with the use of a fork, crimp edges to make sure that it’s sealed.
6. Make some slits on the top then brush pastries with egg wash.
7. Bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes or until pastries are puffed and golden.
